TRAINING
It is our pleasure to
introduce to you the 2008 graduates of the performance
programs of the School of Theatre and Dance at the
University of Florida. The actors (from both graduate
and undergraduate programs) have been trained in an
environment that prizes artistic activity,
professionalism and dedication in a climate of
diversity, discovery and risk. They have studied under
nationally and internationally recognized practicing
artists, teachers and scholars committed to creative
activity. Many of these actors have already begun their
professional pursuits while still in school. That focus
and initiative set their talent apart. They are the next
generation of artists—brave and keenly aware of the
practical needs of the marketplace—ready for the
challenges that this profession offers. We trust that
you will welcome them into the performing community with
the same enthusiasm that they have inspired in us.
