Alumni of the performance programs at the University of
Florida (MFA in Acting, BFA in Acting, and BFA in
Musical Theatre) have enjoyed significant success on
stage and screen. Recent among them is
J.
Salome Martinez,
who
has had supporting leads in the films
From Brooklyn to Manhattan
and
Church and State
and a guest starring role in all episodes of the
forthcoming HBO mini-series,
Generation Kill.
Salome is currently shooting
New York, I Love You,
directed by Scarlett Johansson.
Usman Ally
has been at Steppenwolf Theatre Company for the 2007-08
season.
Marci Stringer
appeared opposite Fantasia in
Life Is Not a Fairy Tale.
Shekitra Starke
is appearing on Broadway in
Mary Poppins.
Jason Gillman
is currently in
Legally Blonde,
having previously appeared in
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,
Thoroughly Modern Millie,
Annie Get Your Gun
and
Chicago. Allyson
Tolbert
toured with
The Producers,
while
Jonathon Lovitz
was seen in national tours of both
Jesus Christ Superstar
and
Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat. These
